
30 Jun INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING
GIVE project participated in the World Federation of Collages and Polytechnics (WFCP) Congress 2022 “TVET Excellence for All” which took place in Donostia – San Sebastián, Spain from June 15-17 2022. Event gathered together more than 1000 professionals from over 50 countries sharing their knowledge on some of todays’ most pressing issues in the field TVET including equity and inclusion.
GIVE project, Sanna Ryökkynen and Katja Maetoloa from Häme University of Applied Sciences and Paolo Nardi from Cometa Formazione, led a breakout session during the conference focusing on “Inclusive Excellence in Vocational Education and Training”. Session shared from the experience of the GIVE project providing an overview on the elements and practices which make VET both inclusive and excellent. Session promoted an exchange of views and experience on the concept of inclusion as well as inspirational approaches and practices. Discussion during the session brought forward practices from different country contexts and challenges we face in strengthening inclusive excellence in VET. Research results from the Finnish context highlight that inclusion is founded on collaboration and mutual understanding.
