Born in 1983 with the aim of generating employment opportunities for people with disabilities in Bizkaia, Lantegi Batuak continues to be, four decades later, a social enterprise, which puts the person at the center, and whose industrial and service activity is the tool to contribute to a more inclusive society.
Throughout 2023, Lantegi Batuak has focused the celebration of its 40th anniversary on the recognition of the people who made it possible, both in its beginnings and nowadays, working on the different projects of the entity.
Lantegi Batuak generates an Integrated Social Value of 236 million euros and in 40 years has facilitated the social and labor inclusion of more than 8,500 people.
To achieve its mission, Lantegi Batuak develops innovative, sustainable and competitive initiatives, optimizing the capabilities of all the people in the organization and providing the appropriate support to advance in the achievement of their life project.
Currently, Lantegi Batuak has 20 industrial centers focused on metal transformation, electronics, wiring, electrical assemblies, logistics and printing solutions. In addition, it offers both the public and private sector, a wide range of services, including gardening, cleaning and document management, as well as vending, support services for dependency, etc.
Nowadays, 3,179 people work in these services, 82% of whom have a disability.
